Yamaha, and Yamaha G3 Boats, have been the title sponsor of the Bi-State Shad Fishing Contest since 2017. Each year, a Yamaha G3 Jetboat is donated to the contest, which all contestants are entered into a drawing for, at no charge. Contestant numbers jumped from 350 in 2016, to 696 in 2017, when the give away boat was announced. In 2021 the the package was increased from a 16 foot, to an 18 foot package, & we hit our all time high, with 1153 contestants.
