That's a lot of Ice

With all interest to the river, and it's annual run of the migratory American Shad, we are fortunate to have an unusual look at the Delaware we don't see. A friend's flight looking for ice on the Delaware River takes him to the ice jam at the Delaware Water Gap. The pack stretches for 14 miles before open water to the tip of New Jersey. A sudden thaw after weeks of freezing temperatures moved much of the ice pack from the river and its tributaries downstream. A great perspective from above that so many millions don't know exists.
